Today was beautiful. Kathleen and I went for a walk, had a few beers at the Corner Brewery (seen above) and went for a meandering drive . . . and eneded up shopping at Ikea for a while, but that's besides the point.

It's beginning to feel like Sp . . nevermind, don't want to jinx it.

I think I've run out of interesting household items to shoot. I've reached the "whatever, I can do another kind of self portrait" phase of my 365 day project. At least I found my remote trigger so they're not such a pain in the butt to do every time!

Yes, this for those of you keeping tabs, this was ripped off from inspired by Dustin Diaz's recent photo. It's also similar to a couple of my other recent ones, except that this one has two lights on me and I'm using my 50mm f/1.8 at f/1.8 to soften the depth of the image.

FYI, I lost my remote trigger a couple of weeks ago, so all of these self portraits I've been doing have been done with a 10 second timer. Sucks.

Apparently I forgot to post this to the blog on the day that I took it. My bad.

This photo doesn't give a very good sense of scale of the icicles hanging off of my apartment complex. The center one in this photo is probably about as tall as I am (5'10'').

Food photography is kinda tricky. I'm trying to get the hang of it, but when it comes down to it, many of my favorite foods look kinda gross. I hope you believe me when I say that these nachos were delicious.

Today Kathleen and I went to the Detroit Historical Museum. I took a picture of a wrought iron grate over the window of an old timey train ticket booth. Photographers are weird.
