Large and on black.

Tonight Kathleen and I went to a remarkably muggy and quite long (10 innings) Tigers game. They were celebrating the Negro Leagues this weekend, and so the first 1k people through the door got these neat Detroit Stars caps, as they were the Detroit Negro League back in the day. Oh, and we won with a walk-off home run at the bottom of the 10th.

Most of our books are unpacked, but our bookshelves are not ready to recieve them yet as we'll be painting a few walls soon. So here they sit, all piled up.

This morning, I was going to take a photo of my modem and router with radiant, angelic light, because finally, finally I was going to have internet at my new apartment. Instead, I'm posting this? Why? Because Comcast's modem flakes out, their customer service had me running in circles for almost two hours, and in the end, I still have no internet at home. So this little letter here is the only way I can express my rage.

Despite a harrowing day of ups and downs, Kathleen and I are finally moved in to our new apartment together. This was us after folks had left (Thanks Katie, Paul, David and Devon!), after some essentials were unpacked, and after we decided we needed to pop open some champagne and relax (but before we found that the UHaul truck was dead and needed a jump before we could return it. Oof).
