Sulley With the Wind

Sulley With the Wind, originally uploaded by RLHyde.

It has been windy as all getout today, as my allergies can attest to. I wanted to capture the motion of the wind by throwing old dead leaves into the frame, but A.) it ws really hard to do, and B.) dead leaves do not say "spring." So I just went with a cute photo of Sulley minus the leaves.

Sulley on the Rocks

Since the weather is so nice, Sulley has decided to go out adventuring. It was roughly 9pm and 73 degrees at the time of this taking.

Maybe we'll see Sulley travel more in coming days.

This is nowhere near what I had originally intended. I was going for a shot with the wall of recycling my roomate and I keep failing to take care of (I'm fixing it tomorrow), but the image wasn't really coming across, so I put a few together and hopefully the result is interesting.

View On Black

Today was my second attempt at getting a self portrait with a big, grandiose background. I think I did better this time. The trick is realizing that the background is actually the dominant image.

With Spring becoming more and more of a reality, I keep wanting to go outside and do grand portraits with big, natural backgrounds. I feel like I've been cooped up so long, though, that I can't really pull them off. I guess I'll just have to keep on experimenting.

Kathleen and I wear these pajamas when we're at my place. While we don't let our respective genders define us too much, we do allow them to define our jammies.

Kathleen and I go through a lot of wine . . . well, probably two bottles a week between the two of us, so I don't know if that's a lot. Anyway, lit glass at 1.8 aperture is always pretty.
