I'm a teacher. That's what I do.
(FYI, good book, you should read it. It's by Daniel Quinn.)

This is the view from inside my speed grid. This is one of the light modifiers I slap on the end of my strobes from time to time. Pretty much any time I'm shooting small items close up, this is what the primary light is shot through. It creates a tight, circular light area, which allows for black backgrounds because there's not enough light to bounce all around the room.
This one looks better the bigger it gets.
This is not affiliated with my 365 day project. I was going through my pictures of the bachelor party I attended on Saturday to send to the gentleman of honor, and I realized that I had overlooked some pretty good stuff. This particular picture probably should have gone up on the 365 project instead of this one (even though I like the other one a lot as well).
Enjoy.

And you know it's my serious face because of my serious lighting. Watch out.
I was hoping for a better take on this, honeslty, but the batteries in the strobe camera right are just about dead, so I had to settle for this one. Oh well. Mondays are my long days, and I can't ask for perfection out of every photo, I suppose.
